Hey, yea title just sums it up. I'm currently in the hospital and I finally got my system update notification and it was a small update so I did. It starts the Hands Free Activation but very quickly goes to the self service activate phone screen. Here it says: existing customer sim card swap and asks for Sprint phone number. After a while it says activation failed.
Steps to activate your Sprint Force 4G LTE Hands free activation If this is the first time activating your device, hands free activation automatically starts when you power it on for the first time. With your device powered off, press and hold the Power key until the screen turns on. Your device automatically enters hands free activation mode. Your device automatically installs available PRL updates. Your device restarts. After it restarts, your device automatically checks for available firmware updates.
Tap Apply if an update is available. Otherwise tap OK. You've now completed hands free activation.
Note: If hands free activation fails, continue to the next guide. One touch programming If this is not the first time activating your device, or hands free activation did not complete successfully, use one touch programming. From the home screen, tap the Menu key. Tap System settings.
Scroll to and tap System updates. Tap Update Profile. After the update is complete, tap OK. After it completes, your device returns to the System updates. Tap the Home key. You've now completed one touch programming. Note: If one touch programming fails, continue to the next guide.
Manual programming Only use manual programming if both hands free activation and one touch programming did not complete successfully on your Sprint Forceā¢ 4G LTE. Manually programming your device requires a 6-digit programming code and a 10-digit MSID. If your device was activated via, these codes may be found in the phone activation confirmation email or on the programming instructions page displayed after the activation was processed. If this is a new line of service or you don't have these codes, make an appointment at a nearby for assistance getting your device programmed. From the home screen, tap the Phone icon.
Dial ## followed by the 6-digit programming code followed by #. For example, ##123456#. Enter the 10-digit phone number ( MDN). Enter the 10-digit MSID. Your device restarts. After it restarts, from the home screen, tap the Menu key.
Tap System settings. Scroll to and tap System updates. Tap Update Profile. After the update is complete, tap OK.
Your device restarts. After it restarts, your device is ready to be used. You've now completed manual programming. Device reset Only reset your device if it was previously active using a different phone number (MDN). From the home screen, tap the Phone icon. Dial ##72786#.
